Analysis of the Effect of Training and Placement on Employee Performance

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of education and training and placement on employees' performance. This study is using three variables, two independent variables (X), which are training & education (X1) and Placement (X2), and one dependent variable, employee performance (Y). This study utilizes a combination of both quantitative and qualitative approaches, using a survey method. The questionnaire's validity and reliability test was conducted before data collection so that the undamaged items are entirely valid and reliable. The validity and reliability test was performed using SPSS 17. To determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable, this study uses correlation and regression analysis on employees' performance. This can be seen from the evidence that shows the hypothesis, in which Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted. This, indicating that there is a positive effect of training and education on performance. The result of the analysis of the correlation coefficient, rX1Y of 0.428, while the coefficient determinant is 18.32, means that the variable education and training affect employee performance by 18.32%. In comparison, 81.68% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Correlation coefficient analysis results or rx2y Placement of 0.530, while the coefficient determinant is 28.10, which means the placement variables affecting employee performance by 28.10%. Another 71.90% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
